Contact your federal representatives today and ask them to extend emergency Medicaid assistance to states.

Senators Cantwell and Murray are working hard to secure an emergency Medicaid extension in the Senate — but they can’t do it alone. They — and their counterparts in the House — need to hear loud and clear that we support it too.

Dear Senators Cantwell and Murray:
and My U.S. Representative:

The extension of federal Medicaid assistance is critical for Washington State and every other state across the country. Without it, health care services for tens of thousands of people in our state will be under threat.

Washington’s economy is on the cusp of climbing out of the recession. But without the emergency Medicaid extension, Washington State will face further cuts that will tip us back into the slump.

Although I know many members of Washington’s delegation are already working to bring this critical funding home — some are not. It’s time every member of our delegation prioritizes the emergency Medicaid extension. We can all agree on the need to keep Washington’s economy on the track to recovery.

I urge you to work with your colleagues in both the House and the Senate to ensure that the extension of higher Medicaid assistance to states is passed before it is too late.
